Home Insurance Navigator: a free Claude plugin for homeowners

A free Claude plugin on GitHub for U.S. homeowners facing a non-renewal notice or a confusing coverage choice. Published by Prime Dev Force LLC, the publisher of Coverage Clock.

About the plugin

What it does

Home Insurance Navigator is a skill for Claude. It answers your home insurance question first, checks time-sensitive rules against official sources (state insurance departments, statutes and program websites) when Claude has web access, and explains your next steps in plain English.

It covers non-renewal and cancellation notices, FAIR Plans and other insurers of last resort, windstorm pools, mortgage requirements, and basic coverage concepts. The plugin is instructions only: it has no server, no scripts and no connectors, and it does not collect data.

Who it is for

Who it is for

U.S. homeowners who have received a non-renewal or cancellation notice, who are being pushed toward a FAIR Plan or another insurer of last resort, or who want to understand a coverage choice before they make it.

Detailed Coverage Clock resources cover California, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Texas. For other states, the plugin points you to that state's insurance department instead of implying full coverage.

Try asking

Example prompts

  • “My insurer sent a non-renewal notice in California. What are my deadlines and next steps?”
  • “Explain California FAIR Plan coverage and what a DIC policy adds.”
  • “My lender says my homeowners policy is ending before closing. What are my options?”

Limits

What it will not do

  • It does not give quotes, and it does not sell, bind or issue insurance.
  • It is not legal or insurance advice. It is not an insurer, agent, broker, lawyer or regulator, and it does not guarantee eligibility, premiums, coverage or claim outcomes.
  • It will not ask for Social Security numbers, policy numbers, passwords or bank details.

Information is general and educational. Confirm anything important with your state insurance department or a licensed professional.
